Frequently asked questions
Will renaming a chapter change the contents page?
Yes. The new name is written into the book’s contents page (both the new EPUB 3 and the older EPUB 2 kind).
Can I edit books bought from a store?
Not if they are locked with DRM. Those are protected by the publisher, so DesiEditor will not open them. Books you made, or DRM-free books, work.
Is my original file changed?
No. You get a new file ending in “_edited.epub”; your original stays as it was.
