Cookie Policy

Last updated: 14 October 2026. DesiEditor sets no advertising cookies, and analytics cookies only if you say yes. Here is everything this site keeps in your browser, and why.

Cookies (only if you log in)

desi_session — keeps you logged in with DESI ID for up to 30 days. desi_state — a 10-minute safety check while you log in. Both are needed for login only; if you never log in, no cookie is set.

Kept in your browser (not cookies)

de_prefs — your theme and text size. de_consent — your cookie choice (yes/no). de_crop_color — your crop-box colour. de_handoff — a file you picked on the homepage, kept up to 2 minutes so the tool can open it. de_store — a recovery copy of your photo edits for up to 24 hours. de_rec — files you made, only if you turn on “Recent files” in Settings, for up to 24 hours. None of this leaves your device.

Analytics

Only if you press “Allow all” (or switch Analytics on) in the cookie box, we load Google Analytics to count visits and see which tools are used. It then sets _ga and _ga_R4V9R8G3F7 (up to 2 years). If you choose “Essential only” — or your browser sends Global Privacy Control — Google Analytics is not loaded at all. It never receives your files, file names or text. Change your choice any time: Cookie settings in the footer, or Settings → Visit counting. Separately, Cloudflare (our host) counts page visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics: it sets no cookies, does not fingerprint you, does not follow you across websites and never sees your files.

Advertising

There are no ads today. If we add Google AdSense, ad cookies may be used; we will update this page first and ask for consent where the law requires.

How to remove it

Settings → Recent files → Delete all removes saved files. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes everything above. Logging out removes the login cookie.
